OMC Studios
OMC Studios is the home for my art practice, a space where I share original works and offer commissions across a wide range of mediums and projects. My practice is rooted in exploration, spanning painting, murals, ceramics, and sculptural installations. Each piece is both a way for me to process the world and an opportunity for others to find their own connections within it.
Much of my work centers on themes of memory, grief, human connection, and our relationship to the natural world. Whether through personal commissions, large-scale installations, or collaborative projects, I strive to create art that resonates deeply, sparks reflection, and builds connection.
Painting
Painting has always been a way for me to process the world and my emotions, and I’m endlessly inspired by the possibilities of color, subject, and technique. Every piece becomes a personal perspective and an invitation to connect. Through commissions, murals, and collaborative projects, I work with others to turn ideas and feelings into paintings that are both meaningful and uniquely their own.
Ceramic
Ceramics, to me, is a perfect medium. Clay is ancient and elemental, directly drawn from the earth, shaped by hand, and transformed by fire. At high temperatures, it shifts from a soft, water-soluble material into vitrified stone, and when finished with glaze, it becomes stone sealed in luminous, melted glass.
My ceramic practice began at UC Berkeley’s studio, where I studied the foundations of clay and began creating sculptural works that explored its endless possibilities. Working with clay is an intimate, tactile process—each piece carefully molded, shaped, and refined. For me, the act of building is as meaningful as the finished form, a dialogue between artist, material, and transformation.
Sculpture
What does it mean for an artwork to exist in three dimensions? Unlike painting, which invites us to enter through its surface, sculpture inhabits our space. Its shape, scale, and presence ask us to move around it, to feel it from different angles, and to experience it not just visually but physically. A sculpture can intrigue, confront, or comfort us in ways that are immediate and visceral.
My sculpture practice explores this dynamic through a wide range of materials—plaster, wood, metal, ceramic, wax, and beyond—each chosen for the qualities they bring to form and texture. I see sculpture as both an exploration of material transformation and a way to embody concepts that cannot be contained on a flat surface. Every piece is a dialogue between material, idea, and space, aiming to spark curiosity and evoke emotion in those who encounter it.
Digital Media
A big part of making art today is having the right digital playgrounds. For me, that usually means hours lost in Procreate or tinkering with the endless buttons and layers inside Adobe Creative Cloud. These tools let me stretch my ideas, try out strange experiments, and turn half-baked sketches into finished pieces. This archive is a mix of past digital adventures and a peek at what’s possible for future commissions—whether it’s polished illustrations, quirky graphics, or something completely unexpected.
